What is your favorite subject?
Photography and fashion of course!
How long have you done this?
My intrigue for cameras sprouted when I discovered my father's Canon film camera for the first time - I was 7. I began shooting as a hobbyist in 2001 and in September 2007, after a business meeting with celebrity photographer Markus Klinko (star of Double Exposure on E!), I took things to the next step and really started pursuing fashion photography more. I hosted my first semi-solo exhibit back in November 2009 in San Francisco - (semi because I wanted my brother to showcase some of his work as well - he does film photography exclusively with vintage cameras). I will be in another exhibit this coming May at the Mezzanine in San Francisco with several other artists/photographers and am planning a solo exhibit later in October 2010.
Do you do the makeup/hair/styling for your shoots?
No. I have a great team of make-up artists and an awesome hair stylist that always works with me on my shoots! I love them! I wish I knew enough about make-up to do it but I barely know how to put make-up on myself ... haha. That's why there are make-up artists and hair stylists! We always joke around at shoots when we ask each other how things look and the reply is always, "You're the expert. You know what you're doing!" There's a great trust between us all and we all feed off each other's creative juices! I thank Pauline Le, Stella and Dot stylist
for providing us with the gorgeous stella & dot jewelry, making these photos a stunning success!
Been in any fashion mags?
Not yet but I've had photos published in the New York Times back in February 2009. There were no photos published but I was mentioned in the Victoria Beckham interview that was published in Glamour Magazine in this year's March issue. One of these days soon I hope to be published in a fashion magazine!
Tell me something fun & quirky about you!
Haha, let's see... I am easily amused. If you leave me alone, I could probably gather anything close to me and make something out of it. My friends always make fun of me for being the endlessly lit lightbulb. I'm always coming up with new ideas and new projects to pursue and can't wait to tell people about it. I also started making jewelry recently (
